16 June 2012>> Spidey Thoughts

Everybody loves a hero, people line up for ’em, cheer for them, scream their names, and years later tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who told them to HOLD ON a second longer. I believe theres a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble. And finally gets us to die with pride. Even though sometimes we have to be steady and give up the thing we want most, even our dreams.

10 April 2010 >> This poem changes my life towards love, work, friendship & literature.

Even worse than the conviction of not, the uncertainty is perhaps the disappointment of an “almost”.
It’s almost that bothers me, that saddens me, that kills me bringing anything that could have been but never was.
Who still plays almost won,
who almost went further studies,
who almost died is alive
who almost loved did not love
Just think of the opportunities that escaped the fingers,
the chances that are lost by fear
the ideas that never go out of paper
for that accursed habit of living in the fall.
I wonder sometimes what makes us choose a life warm, or rather, do not ask me, contesto.
The answer I know by heart, is molded into the distance and coldness of smiles, the looseness of hugs
the indifference of good morning, almost whispered.
Sobra cowardice and lack courage to to be happy.
A burning passion, love, crazy, betrays the desire.
Perhaps these were good reasons for deciding between joy and pain, to feel nothing, but are not.
If the result was in the middle term
the sea would not have waves, the days would be cloudy
and the rainbow in shades of gray.
Nothing does not illuminate, it inspires, not afflicted, or calm,
only widen the gap that one carries within himself.
Not that faith moves mountains,
or that all stars are within reach,
for things that can not be changed we are left with only patience,
however, prefer to defeat prior to the doubt of victory is to waste the opportunity to earn.
Pros error for forgiveness; pros failures, chance; pros love impossible time.
It does not help surround an empty heart or save souls.
A novel whose aim is instantaneous or painless is not novel.
Do not let the nostalgia choke, which accommodates the routine,
fear stop them from trying.
Be wary of the fate and believe in you.
Spend more time realizing that dream,
planning on doing that, living that waiting
because, though who almost died alive,
who already live almost died!

29 June 2010 >> I like this poem. A bit emotional too..!

THE SAILOR’S LAMENT

ON A SAILOR’S GRAVE, NO ROSES GROW, NO GRASS, NO STONE TO SHOW
THE RESTING PLACE THAT WILL ALWAYS BE, HIS BILLET IN THE SEA
THE SILENT SHARK STANDS WATCH, FOR ALL ETERNITY
SO LONELY HE WILL NEVER BE, IN THAT BILLET IN THE SEA

HE SALLIED FORTH WHILE YOUNG AT HEART TO SAIL UPON THE SEA
TO FALL IN LOVE WITH A MIGHTY SHIP, A MISTRESS THAT WILL ALWAYS BE
STRONG IN HIS HEART SHE TREATS HIM WELL,
AWAY FROM LAND THAT HE FINDS HELL
SO SHARE HIM WELL LASSIE, SOME THINGS JUST HAVE TO BE
“A SAILOR’S PLACE IS ON HIS SHIP, AND THE SHIP MUST SAIL THE SEA”

FROM NORFOLK EAST TO HONG KONG WEST, THE OCEANS HE DID ROAM
ON TOP OF WAVES AND UNDERNEATH, HE ALWAYS FELT AT HOME
THE PLEASURES SOUGHT IN FAR OFF PARTS, WOULD MAKE SOME SALTY TALES
WITH “YOU SPEAK JOE” AND THE FEEL GOOD PITCH
AS THE LADIES MADE THEIR SALES
WHEN SAFE ON BOARD AND LEAVING HE KNEW IT HAD TO BE
“A SAILOR’S PLACE IS ON HIS SHIP, AND THE SHIP MUST SAIL THE SEA”

WHILE ONCE ON SHORE, HIS PLACE OF BIRTH HE TRAVELED BACK TO SEE
HE FELL IN LOVE WITH A PRETTY LASS, HIS BRIDE SHE CAME TO BE
HE WANDERED HOW TO TELL HER WHILE SITTING AT THE PIER
HIS OTHER LOVE WAS WAITING, THE CRUISE TO LAST A YEAR
NO TEARS WERE SHED AS FAREWELLS WERE SAID, SHE KNEW IT HAD TO BE
“A SAILOR’S PLACE IS ON HIS SHIP, AND THE SHIP MUST SAIL THE SEA”

AS YEARS WENT BY THEY LEARNED TO SHARE, A LIFE UNIQUE TO FEW
HE GAVE HIS ALL WHEN OUT TO SEA AND DID THE SAME ASHORE
SHE BECAME BOTH MOM AND POP, AND HAD TO LEARN MUCH MORE
TO FIX THE CAR, TO STOP THE LEAK, DON’T LET THE CHILDREN ROAM
FOR SUCH IT WAS THOSE LONELY DAYS WHEN HE WAS NOT AT HOME
THEY TRAVELED FAR WITH SUDDEN MOVES, BUT KNEW IT HAD TO BE
“A SAILOR’S PLACE IS ON HIS SHIP, AND THE SHIP MUST SAIL THE SEA”

RETIREMENT YEARS HAD COME AND GONE, JUST ONE LAST CRUISE TO TAKE,
NO BAGS TO PACK, NO CIGARETTES, AND NO MORE PORTS TO MAKE
SO LOVED ONES SHED NO TEARS TODAY, THIS IS WHERE HE WANTS TO BE,
JUST FOREVER CRUISING THE WAVES, WAY DOWN BENEATH THE SEA

CAUSE

ON A SAILOR’S GRAVE, NO ROSES GROW, NO GRASS, NO STONE TO SHOW
THE RESTING PLACE THAT WILL ALWAYS BE HIS BILLET IN THE SEA
THE SILENT SHARK STANDS WATCH, FOR ALL ETERNITY
SO LONELY HE WILL NEVER BE, IN THAT BILLET IN THE SEA
